After 15 years in the pet industry, first-generation American Latina Jess Berger found herself disillusioned with the lack of representation and inclusivity in the pet space. She left her corporate job to launch Bundle x Joy, a pet care brand where nutrition meets purpose.

Its products are sold in fun, whimsical and female-forward packaging that people love keeping on their kitchen counters. As Bundle x Joy’s consumer base grew with Amazon, sales soared to more than $1 million in its first year of business, with seven employees.

As a mixology hobbyist, Adam Craft knew all-too-well the problems that others bartenders were experiencing with standard bar tools, from leaking cocktail shakers to frozen hands.

His obsession to elevate the at-home mixology experience quickly grew into a successful omnichannel business including launching in the Amazon store.

“It basically doubled our business in the first couple of years,” said Craft.

When Purvi Desai moved to Arizona with her family, her skin didn’t acclimate. Instead of going to the make-up counter for the cure, the corporate executive went to the supermarket. Working in her kitchen, she made three staples that she loved: a lip balm, face mask and face toner.

She started selling her products at farmers’ markets before opening her Amazon store. Desai’s company, Zaaina, now has 40 products, all handmade by 12 employees.
