Made in North Dakota: A family farm turns to Amazon to prove American-made pasta is as good as Italian
Grand Forks, ND
Three Farm Daughters
After returning to their family farm, sisters Mollie Ficocello, Annie Gorder, and Grace Lunskiset out to create a food brand using crops grown in their own fields. The result was Three Farm Daughters, an artisanal, high fiber pasta brand made from North Dakota-grown durum wheat semolina and wheat flour.
They quickly landed in 43 local retailers, self-distributing with help from husbands, cousins, and farm employees. But as demand grew, so did the need for scale. By opening an Amazon storefront, they expanded nationwide—and increased sales by more than 500% in two years.
