Nēmah
After more than a decade of writing about beauty and motherhood, influencer Mary Lawless Lee decided to start her own premium skincare brand for new moms and babies alongside her husband, Madison. Her company, Nemah, focuses on the physical challenges moms face in the perinatal phase of motherhood, with best-selling products like stretch mark creams and restorative treatments for C-section scars.
Aiming to reach women beyond Mary’s social media following, the Lees launched Nemah in the Amazon store, where the sales growth was near-instant. In less than a year, Nemah was bringing in over $140,000 in Amazon sales, revenue that has grown nearly 100% year-over-year.

Stringjoy
Ever since he was a kid, Scott Marquart liked experimenting with sound by mixing and matching guitar strings from different sets. His pursuit of finding the perfect sound quality kicked off a journey to build a better guitar string from scratch.
In 2014, Marquart launched Stringjoy, parlaying his love of musical tinkering into a best-selling guitar string company, now sold across 600 retail stores worldwide, including in the Amazon store. When it came to introducing his brand to new customers, Marquart said Amazon A+ Content made all the difference.

Be Amazing
After undergoing treatment for cancer, Mike Yewdell’s doctors advised he take greens and protein supplements to boost his immune system and metabolism. The powder blends he purchased from the health food store, however, left a bad taste in his mouth. When he recovered, the wellness entrepreneur decided to make versions that prioritized taste and nutrition.
Soon after launching Be Amazing with his best friends, the brand’s debut sour blue gummy-flavored pre-workout supplements gained viral fame. After a year refining the brand and flavor profiles of their products, the trio launched in the Amazon store, with near instant success. Using tools like Amazon Product Opportunity Explorer to research and test new flavors, the brand has grown, bringing in six-figure monthly sales with Amazon.

Nashville startup upcycles vinyl scraps into successful crafting business
Nashville, TN
Craftables
In 2012, Stephen Cox and his business partner Drew Barbier were buying vinyl in mass quantities for their budding decal startup in the Amazon store when they realized selling vinyl scraps was more profitable. Using the inventory and sales data available on Amazon Seller Central, the pair shifted their attention to selling various sizes of scrap vinyl to crafters.
Today, Craftables is a one-stop-shop for all craft vinyl needs. The company has grown enormously, from first operating out of a small music studio in Portland, Oregon, to now employing a team of ten with a 20,000 square foot space in Nashville.
“Especially the first five years were really dramatic growth [for Craftables], in large part to Amazon,” Cox said. “Amazon is where all the eyeballs are. People are there to buy the products.”

Nashville musicians play Amazon to their advantage

Artiphon
Artiphon’s accessible-first instruments are game changing for the musical space. Disguised as consumer electronics, their devices allow anyone to play music regardless of skill, style or ability. Imagine a hockey puck that you can touch, tap, tilt or shake to make music and you would have Artiphon’s Orba.
It’s novel and it’s wildly popular, says Adam McHeffey, Artiphon’s Chief Marketing Officer. So much so, keeping their products in stock has been increasingly difficult. Flexibility has been the key to keeping Artiphon successful as they scale.
“Whether it’s inventory levels or supply chain, we need flexibility,” said McHeffey. “With Amazon, we have multiple ways of selling, multiple tools for getting our instruments in players’ hands.”

Launched on Amazon: First Honey uses sales data to secure shelf space in 10K stores

First Honey
With the idea of Manuka honey being in every first aid kit across the country, Sarah Scarlet and her husband, Jono, started First Honey and launched their business in the Amazon store.
Without Amazon, Jono said they faced an uphill battle of trying to get their ointment into retailers without proof their product had marketability. Amazon, he said, gave them their footing and now they’re using that foundation to build the future of healing, with their story front and center, as they expand past 10,000 stores.
“I understood that to make this brand and this product work, you would have to be able to tell a story. Amazon has been amazing at bringing our story to life,” said Sarah Scarlet.

Armor Concepts
Alan Young turned a problem into an opportunity, building a product for himself that hundreds of thousands would soon be using: Door Armor. The product was Young’s solution to people making mischief by kicking in the doors of properties he was renovating.
“They’d steal our tools, pipes and everything else,” said Alan Young, founder and CEO of Armor Concepts. “We came up with the idea, ‘Let’s wrap this doorframe in metal.’”
Armor Concepts products are currently featured in many big box renovation retailers, but it’s Amazon, his largest sales channel, that Young credits with helping him grow.
