Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) transformed Heirloom Traditions Paint from a small rural Kentucky paint company into a nationwide success. The partnership provided Paula Blankenship’s company with a sophisticated logistics network, capable of handling the complex challenges of storing and shipping liquid products across the country from their remote location. The impact was remarkable: sales grew from $4 million in their first year with FBA to $10 million the following year. Blankenship’s product line expanded from a handful of items to hundreds, all consistently available nationwide—a feat that would have been difficult and costly to manage without FBA.

“I couldn’t grow my business without a partner like Amazon,” Blankenship said. “They solved the logistics challenges that were holding us back and made it possible for a rural Kentucky small business to compete nationally.”

In a world where health-consciousness meets mixology, Kentucky-based Modica is blazing the trail.

The company made its debut in 50 brick-and-mortar stores in Louisville in 2021, generating nearly six figures in sales in its first year. However, it was the decision to pivot towards ecommerce with Amazon and sell to consumers outside of Kentucky that truly catalyzed the company’s rapid growth.

From 2022 to 2023, Modica’s Amazon sales grew by more than 950%—with another year of exponential growth on the horizon.
