Amazon announced a new shipping service for independent sellers today at Accelerate, Amazon’s annual seller conference, expanding access to Amazon’s delivery network at competitive rates across the contiguous U.S.

Amazon Shipping is a ground package delivery service for sellers who manage and fulfill their own orders. With Amazon Shipping, these sellers can leverage the speed and reliability of Amazon’s transportation network to ship their Amazon orders, as well as those from their own direct-to-customer website and other selling channels, from their warehouses to customers’ doorsteps.

Amazon Shipping picks up packages from sellers’ warehouses and delivers to customers in 2 to 5 days – including Saturdays and Sundays – at a low cost, with no extra fees for residential or weekend delivery. Sellers can also now track their packages in real-time and receive photo on delivery when the order is delivered.

Currently, Amazon Shipping is serving U.S. sellers with warehouses in fifteen metropolitan areas across the country with plans for future expansion.

“Amazon Shipping has been a game-changer for our business,” said Matthew Bergman, Director, Parts N Go. “They have proven to be a cost-effective and efficient delivery service provider for us.”

Powered by Amazon’s 15-year investment in a fast, reliable transportation network, Amazon Shipping is another example of how Amazon continues to innovate on behalf of sellers to help them grow their business across all their sales channels.
